Please note: The commands are all to be entered without the inverted commas "". You can copy all commands and paste them using the right mouse button.
Activate Microsoft Office Key
- Click on Start at the bottom left
- In the search field below, enter "cmd".
- If for some reason the search does not work, you can also find "cmd" under "C:\Windows\System32".
- Now click with the right mouse button on the black cmd window and select the following
"Run as administrator"
- Now we have to navigate to the Microsoft Office folder. Attention: The installation path changes depending on the Office version! Please find the installation path of Office first.
- To find the installation path: Double-click on the local data carrier
- If you have a 64-bit operating system, go to the "Applications" folder; if you have a 32-bit operating system, go to the "Applications (x86)" folder.
- Copy the installation path
- For 64 bit systems, we enter the following into the CMD window:
"cd C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\Office16" Enter Press
- For 32 bit systems, we enter the following into the CMD window:
"cd C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Office\Office16" Enter Press
- Now enter the following command: "cscript ospp.vbs /act:xxxxx-xxxxx-xxxxx-xxxx".
Replace the xxxxxx with your key Enter Press
Change Microsoft Office Key
- Click on Start at the bottom left
- In the search field below, enter "cmd". If for some reason the search does not work,
then you can also find "cmd" under "C:\Windows\System32".
- Now click with the right mouse button on the black cmd window and select the following
"Run as administrator"
- Now we need to navigate to the Microsoft Office folder
- For 64 bit systems, we enter the following into the CMD window:
"cd C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\Office16" Enter Press
- For 32 bit systems, we enter the following into the CMD window:
"cd C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Office\Office16" Enter Press
- Now enter the following command: "cscript ospp.vbs /inpkey:xxxxx-xxxxx-xxxxx-xxxx".
Replace the xxxxxx with your key Enter Press
Query Microsoft Office Licensing Status
- With the command: cscript ospp.vbs /dstatus you can query the licensing status and read off the installed keys.
